Google Docs is a free web-based suite of office tools. It includes Documents, a text editor, Spreadsheet, Presentation, Forms, and Templates.

Files are stored "in the cloud" and are available from any device that can access an internet connection, and from anywhere an internet connection is available.  This functionality also makes it possible to create, store, share, and collaborate on files with others in any part of the world in (just about) real-time. Edits and revisions become visible to online collaborators and viewers every time a save is automatically made which is multiple times a minute. No need to e-mail files back and forth, wondering if you have the latest revision. With Google Docs, everyone has access to the same version at the same time, making it a great productivity tool.

  • Revisions are automatically tracked. You'll be able to see what's been revised, by whom, and when.
  • No need to download (or pay for) the latest version. Feature updates "magically" appear, with a text box telling you what has changed.
  • No need to worry about forgetting the adaptor for the projector.
