Medical Lab Technician Programs Sponsored by SCILS

Quincy College Associate Degree in Medical Laboratory Technician 

Graduates are eligible to take the national certification examination for Medical Laboratory Technology offered by the American Society of Clinical Pathologists (ASCP) Board of Registry.

Prior Education Required: Accuplacer scores of 70% for math and 80% for both reading and writing OR Bachelor’s Degree

Specific Course Prerequisites: Chemistry with lab, Biology with lab, Anatomy and Physiology, and Orientation to Healthcare. Quincy College can help students interested in transferring credit.

Duration: Full time: 2 year/4 semester program, one semester clinical practicum included. Part time: 2 year/6 semester program, two semester clinical practicum included.

Semester to Enroll: Fall for daytime, full-time option (full course load in fall and spring). Spring for night, part-time option (1-2 classes per semester in spring, summer, and fall). The application deadline for the fall semester (starting in September) is August.. The application deadline for the spring semester (starting in January) is December.
