The Social Justice in the Classroom ItAG (Inquiry to Action Group) is now underway and has been both inspiring and hopeful! Participants include classroom teachers, after-care teachers, a professor who works with teachers, and free schoolers. Participants are helping one another to plan and implement a unit/project with social justice elements and themes. Participants plan to share their projects with the public on June 24 from 2-4pm at the SW Outdoor Center. They will also share with the public a collection of local Georgia social justice resources that educators can use for their classes.
