This is the baptism entry for Louisa on April 15th ,1865.
The Registrar has kindly noted the actual date of birth,
some five years previous.
Louisa Elizabeth Fuller was born in December 1860, presumably in Methwold ,for the birth is registered in Thetford in Qtr MAR 1861.
Nearly five years pass before she is baptised at All Saints,Poplar, in April 1865,as was her youngest brother Charles Henry a year later.
In 1871 Louisa is with all the family in Stainsby Road and in 1881 is shown as a servant aged 20 born Norfolk and now living around the corner from her father in Commercial Road,
In August 1881 she marries George Flint ,a bachelor of full age, occupation cooper,he originally from Yalding,Kent .Her father Robert was witness at the ceremony.
Their son George Robert was born in Mile End in 1883 and was christened in March 1886.Louisa's name was given as mother, but it is possible she had died three years previous ,perhaps following childbirth.
In June 1886,just 3 months after the christening ,widower George married Eliza Jackson,at 24 already a widow. They had a large number of children together and brought up Louisa's son. What became of this son,George Robert(Flint),is at present not known. The last reference to him that I have found in in the 1901 Census, where he is a soldier aged 18 .His army record describes him at the age of 18 as :
He must have taken after his father.......
George served his time with the Essex regiment ,was in South Africa,India and Burma.
Jan 2012 the new electoral rolls available for London show a George r flint married to Evelyn May nee Gathercole (Gathercole is a good old Methwold name, perhaps coinciidence ,perhaps not....) in Major Road SE16 (Bermondsey)
