Maestrino Module

Designed to provide a bridge between the Open Pro module and the Suzuki modules, this module includes single lessons with an Open Pro module teacher, orchestra or choir, and chamber music. It replaces the Maestro module of previous years, which included group lessons in its basic content. However, Suzuki group lessons can still be chosen as an option.

Minimum age: 10

Full day

  • 4 single lessons of 25 minutes (one a day from Tuesday to Friday) with a non-Suzuki teacher from the Open Pro module faculty
  • 1 master class given by the same teacher.
  • 5 orchestra OR 5 choir classes (depending on instrument)
  • 4 chamber music classes of 50 minutes (or 25 minutes for duets)
  • One or two free periods a day (plenty of rooms and pianos available for practice during the free periods!)
  • Solo concert: possibility to play a solo during the week (if well prepared)
  • Strings: a rehearsal with the accompanist prior to the solo concert
  • Groups' concert: this will take place at the final concert on Saturday


  1. 4 single lessons of 50 minutes (instead of 25 minutes)
  2. Strings: 5 Suzuki group lessons; Pianists: EITHER 5 Suzuki group lessons with Sue Bird OR 5 Improvisation classes with Aris Zaphiropoulos*
  3. Options 1 and 2 combined
  4. 2nd chamber music group (4 classes)
  5. Options 1 and 4 combined
  6. Options 2 and 4 combined
  7. Options 1, 2 and 4 combined
