LiveFyre-Block for Firefox!

This page is for blocking LiveFyre users using Firefox

I have put this page together because I am tired of seeing a troll day after day for over a year stalk and harass someone I consider a good friend on the comments sections of my favorite Livefyre website. This troll not only harasses her but other women that comment on the same boards too. This is the year 2017 and it is long time past the time to stop people that ruin other peoples time online! My favorite Livefyre website says they are working on users being able to block trolls so, in the meantime users of that site and other sites that use LiveFyre for comments can use this to block abusive trolls. For now this is the best I can come up with to stop the abuse from trolls.

The good: Loading this will allow you to "Ignor user" or "Un-Ignor User" and "Block User" and with one click, turn it off and see all users again.

The Bad: For now, once you block a user, they are gone as if they had never been born, there used to be a list to un-block, it is gone, that is what I hope to fix. You can't un-block them unless you turn Tampermonkey off. If you accidentally block someone and see reply's to their posts but, not their posts it is not hard to remove the script and go back and reload the script and start blocking trolls again, I will show you how. Come back to this page and see how to do it over, it is easy...

First off, open the Firefox browser, and click this link:

https://addons.mozilla.org/en-US/firefox/addon/tampermonkey/

You should see this:

Click the " + Add to Firefox" button. It will download Tampermonkey and add it to Firefox. When it is done close Firefox.

Next, open Firefox again and go to:

http://userscripts-mirror.org/scripts/show/177226

Click the green "Install" button and it will put the LiveFyre Script(add-on) in Tampermonkey for you!

Close Firefox when done. Now re-open Firefox and go to a comment page.

You will see this Icon in the top right corner of the Firefox page with a little drop down arrow:

The little black Icon is the Tampermonkey Add-on. Turn it on for blocking and turn it off and you will see all posts.

The "Dashboard" button has more settings too

Now, on to what the comment page looks like now if everything went well!

If a troll shows up click ignore or block next to their name, keep

in mind if you hit block, you will not see them again.

In this picture I have picked a random user and ignored them.

At anytime you can click Unignore and see that persons posts again.

And if you don't like what they are saying, you can go back to ignoring them

or block them and never even see their posts again.

You will still see what others have replied to them.

This is one very nice thing Tampermonkey has!

A warning that you are about to block Dave!

Don't do it, Dave is a nice guy!

Now I will cover what to do if you block someone you like by mistake.

============================

OK now if you have blocked someone, here is how to unblock them in Firefox!

Go up to the Tampermonkey menu and click Dashboard

It will take you here:

Click the Settings Tab and at the top of page you will see the "Config mode" drop down box

Change that to "Advanced" that page will get bigger!

Next go to the very bottom of that page:

Click the "Factory Reset" button. That will set Tampermonkey ONLY back like it was

when you first loaded it.

Now, go here:

Now you should see this:

Click the green Install box on the top right.

Then you get this!

Now click the the install button and you can start over with no one blocked

Enjoy and be nice!

Restart Firefox and re-block or re-ignore the trolls as you see them and be careful not to block friends again!

Remember to watch for reply's that have your friends name but, no original post unless, that post got poofed.

You can turn Tampermonkey off and back on if you want to check for blocked users too

This is a good place to see how it works, I will try to be here as much as I can if you need help

Now for some heavy stuff for us nerds...

The script that runs all of this can be found in this folder, on my Win 10 PC anyway..

C:\Users\R\AppData\Roaming\Mozilla\Firefox\Profiles\9argbo2l.default\gm_scripts

The open source JAVA script file is named: 177226.user.js

I will work on it and will also try to find others that know how to edit scripts, if a fix is found for the lost

"Blocked user" list I will get it to Firefox to add to their Add-ons page if it is good and nothing fishy!

If you want to yell at me or want to point out any mistakes I made on this page you can find me on O-live as Rockland with no i...

Also, Bookmark this page in case you need to come back and reload the script.

If there is a fix for the blocked list, or any other changes, it will be posted here.

And to Google, I love you but, what is the deal with making the links the same color as the background of the page?

I know, everyone knows how to copy and paste but, why can't I make links a different color?
