This is a soundtrack for Game-Game, a currently not yet made game. Every track has a few couple of words describing what I envisioned the track for. All tracks were made in Guitar Pro software with RealFont 2.1 Soundfont. If you have Linux, you can rebuild ogg files with this shell script. You will need FluidSynth, oggenc (part of vorbis-tools package) and RealFont 2.1 sf2 file (available in many places, for example, here). You can try some other soundfonts but the quality of sound and instruments volume will vary. The work started somewhere in early September 2008 and was finished in early January 2010. Not that I worked hard all year, I don't think I spent more than three months on it in total and even that would be an overestimate.

You can download full OST ZIP file from here (80mb).

01 Game-Game .ogg (6.8mb) .mid .gp5

Marek shows off his suit and weapons in artistically arranged shots.

He runs somewhere with scenery flowing by.

"Hey, ain't I one damn cool dude?"

02 Lava City .ogg (8.3mb) .mid .gp5

Well, here's the city, at least what remains of it. The whole planet is a wreck now, filled with boiling hot lava. It won't be easy to find the sphere my employer wishes me to acquire. At least the pay's good.

Marek jumps across another hole into the ground with hot lava glowing below. A deadly burst nearly misses him in the air. It's like it's... alive! The splash returns forming a glowing evil face floating in the air.

"Good thing I've bought these cheap liquid nitrogen shots back on Zintauri V."

03 Ship Interior .ogg (4.7mb) .mid .gp5

It seems that while Marek was exploring the remains of the Lava City, some of the creatures manage to get inside his ship and now are wreaking havoc somewhere. Quickly putting the shimmering alien sphere in the safe he enters the ship's corridors...

"*sigh* I should've invested in that automatic defence system earlier."

04 Underground Cavern .ogg (7.2mb) .mid .gp5

After receiving the sphere Vonstantine immediately gives Marek another task - somewhere in the underground caverns of Xenon III supposedly lies another alien artifact - small green rectangle radiating power.

...And the local creatures guard it with their lives. Another one of those furry eyeless freaks appeared out of the ground right under Marek's feet. Jumping aside he put a shot into it's ugly head. Apparently they follow the vibrations produced by his movement.

"Heh, it looks like that artifact is highly radioactive. No wonder those freaks are so ugly."

05 Gaseous Tethanus .ogg (8.0mb) .mid .gp5

That damn alien battery or whatever it was payed a good price. Time to take a last quick job before the well-earned vacation. That crazy Vonstantine promised that would be the end of it. Though I don't like the smile of that son of a bitch one bit.

Surrounded by hot geysers gushing from the ground and armed with Vonstantine's detector, Marek makes his way through Tethanus wilderness to his destination - some local creature that should look like a living gas cloud. Capture one and bring it back alive, said his employer.

"Ah, I still remember those babes from Nu-Eros."

06 Pirates Attack .ogg (1.4mb) .mid .gp5

Space pirates attack Marek's ship, a battle ensues. Unfortunately, there's too many of them. He tries to shake them off in the unknown planet's atmosphere. A lucky shot by a pirate hits the ship's engines and the ship crashes leaving a trail of smoke. Suddenly, a police patrol appears on the scene and pirates scatter in space followed by it.

"Just my luck, dammit."

07 High In The Mountains .ogg (6.8mb) .mid .gp5

Marek comes to his senses lying near the smoking remains of his ship. Taking his trusty blaster in hand he follows a narrow mountain trail...

It seems that the bird creatures think Marek is a danger to their nests. They attack him on sight screeching wildly and trying to claw his eyes out. A few accurate shots and feathers fly in all directions.

"Hmmm, I wonder if they're edible."

08 Endless Sands .ogg (7.5mb) .mid .gp5

On the other side of the mountains lies a vast desert. Walking through the sand dunes, Marek is lost in thoughts. How did the pirates knew he'd be there? Is it just his bad luck or someone deliberately tracked him down? Where the hell is he going? Ah, shit...

"At least my suit has temperature control or it would already be Toasted Marek."

09 Green Forest .ogg (7.0mb) .mid .gp5

Ah, what a beautiful place! Peaceful and serene, the giant trees stand around Marek with soft light streaming through their leaves. All troubles seem so far away in that place. If not for the hostile locals...

[Because RealFont 2.1 flute sample is +12 semitones higher than usually, this will sound ugly with other samples unless you do a -12 semitones transpose first of the flute track]

10 Running Wild .ogg (7.2mb) .mid .gp5

"That damn Vonstantine! He set me up, I know it for sure now. The pirates were acting on his behalf, the traitorous dog just doesn't want to pay me! I'm gonna kick his ass real hard when I get to him."

11 Die, Vonstantine! .ogg (1.9mb) .mid .gp5

Running through the corridors of glowing ancient alien ruins, Marek searches for an entry into the machine room. He enters the doorway and sees how Vonstantine puts the artifacts into the machine. Green lightning bolts strike from the ceiling where a huge emitter is set up and Vonstantine rises into the air screaming. The lightning transforms him into a terrible winged creature throwing balls of deadly green fire.

12 Final Battle .ogg (9.0mb) .mid .gp5

Flittering like a butterly around Marek, the upgraded Vonstantine throws balls of green fire one after another. Covering behind the ancient pillars, Marek shoots him trying to hit something vital. Slowly, the creature starts taking damage but the battle is far from over.

13 The End .ogg (5.1mb) .mid .gp5

Marek stands looking away into the smoking ruins. The End.
