Greg Harman presented Lisa DeVore the PTO President with a donation. This fundraiser continues through March 31st. 

Greg Harman - State Farm Agency is proud to partner with the Metamora Grade School PTO. Greg will make a $25 donation to the PTO for every auto & home/renters insurance quote where the PTO is mentioned. No purchase necessary. It’s as simple as that!

His office is located across from Casey’s at 401 Woodland Knolls Rd., Germantown Hills. Please stop by his office M-F 9am-5pm or call 309-383-4141. This promotion will continue until March 31st. We hope the partnership is a huge success to the PTO.

Be Involved with PTO & School Events! We have a FANTASTIC school! Besides our amazing staff ~ part of what makes us great is the community of volunteers at Metamora Grade School. We couldn’t do it without you!! There are so many ways to be involved ~ every little bit helps. See the many opportunities below and check any or all every event ~ 

    Budding readers build skills faster with a volunteer or a “reading buddy”. The MGS reading buddy program is looking for Grandparents, parents and or neighbor volunteers to lend an    ear during the school day.

Family Fun Nights (2) Co-Chairs ~ Plan/organize four six themed events a year; organize volunteers.

Fun Day (2) Co-Chairs ~ (March May) plan the annual Fun Day activities for the K 4th graders (held at the end of the school year), organize volunteers, attend event.

Jr High Celebration (2) Co-Chairs ~ (April & May) Select a theme for the 8th grade dance, work with staff in planning/setting up the 8th grade dance, serve refreshments following graduation ceremony.

Nominating Committee (2) Co-Chairs ~Meet in March/April, present at April PTO meeting nominations for Executive Board.

Reading Buddies Chairperson ~Work with staff & coordinate volunteers Santa Store Co-Chair ~Purchasing items for store, coordinate dates for shopping, recruit & work with volunteers to run store.

Staff Appreciation Co-Chair ~plan luncheons twice a year (May/November) for staff

Student Supply Packs Co-Chair ~ (April July) Work with student supply pack company, prepare and distribute fliers, submit order to supply packs company, sort supply pack supplies, host a pickup night. 

Volunteering your time in the MGS PTO is an inexpensive way to make a wonderful contribution to your child’s experience
