Algorithms of Oppression

What's an algorithm?  Here's a 101 guide. It's a sequence of instructions telling a computer what to do and contain 3 logical operations: AND, OR and NOT.

We'll be reading and discussing algorithms, data justice and social action this month (June 2019) to include Case for Critical Public Interest Technologists.

The book club starts June 5 and runs through the week of June 24, 2019.

This will include Algorithms of Oppression: How Search Engines Reinforce Racism by Safiya Umoja Noble.
