Space

We wear the marks

  of our society

for good 

             and ill.

The world is filled

  with regret, remorse,

betrayal, pain,

all the sadness we can bear

  and more.

Lucky, between the planets

  of our lost stars,

    space for 

all the joy we can feel,

all the courage we muster,

all the love we share.
