Mersey Marauders FC

We are Liverpool’s LGBT football team, last year we celebrated our 10th year. The primary aim of the club is to offer gay men within Liverpool and surrounding areas the opportunity to play football in a supportive and inclusive environment. As a mixed team we welcome anyone gay, straight, bi or trans of all ages who simply wants to play football and be part of our club.

We're a friendly and growing club, always welcoming new and enthusiastic players. Most of our members are from the Merseyside area but we also have players from further afield including Chester & Wigan.

Recent History
After reaching the final in all four national tournaments in 2011 and winning two, the Marauders’ application to join the GFSN National League was approved in March 2012 and we stormed to a League and Cup double in 2012/13. 2013/14 saw us winning the GFSN summer tournament and the 2nd division, and being promoted to the top division for the 2014/15 season. However, after relegation we have begun the 2015-2016 in the second of the newly formatted GFSN leagues.

Getting Involved
The club is also involved with wider issues pertinent to the gay, lesbian and transgender community such as campaigns to tackle homophobia in football. We have recently become affiliated to Liverpool County FA and have played in both inclusion and charity matches in recent years
