Bayou BBQ Sauce

Ingredients:

  • 2 Tbsp extra virgin olive oil (EVOO)
  • 1 cup diced onion
  • 1 cup ketchup
  • 1/2 cup honey
  • 1/2 cup dark brown sugar
  • 1/4 cup mustard
  • 1 Tbsp worcestershire sauce
  • 1 - 2 Tbsp red wine vinegar
  • 1 tsp garlic salt
  • 1/4 tsp liquid smoke
  • 1 tsp balsamic glaze reduction

Method:

Saute diced onions in EVOO until soft and translucent.  Add other ingredients over medium heat. Cook until desired consistency.  Remove from heat and allow to cool.  Blend to smooth consistency. Keep in covered container up to one week in refrigerator.
