The interactive network plot below shows how 20 countries are connected through between-firm transaction relationships. Data come from the S&P Capital IQ data platform and compose of (non-comprehensive) transaction relationships between upstream and downstream firms in these 20 countries during 2012-2018.* The node sizes are proportional to the number of firms in each country and the link widths are proportional to number of relationships. The arrows indicate the direction of goods and service flows. For more information on the data and how firms organize these transaction relationships, please refer to my paper titled "The Missing Option in Firm Boundary Decisions".
