Inaugural RAZOR lecture

2018/04/17: The Challenger Learning Center RAZOR Lecture Series is designed to provide an intellectual, engaging experience for the local community. Lectures are presented by scholars, researchers and experts in various science fields. In line with the Challenger Learning Center’s mission to foster long-term interest in STEM fields, the series will provide an illuminating look at cutting edge research.

Physics, Scientific Computing, MagLab, Materials Science, and Chemical Engineering

Computational chemistry and scientific algorithms are now powerful enough that they can predict many properties of materials before they are synthesized. This presentation will showcase Mendoza-Cortes’ work towards developing an alternative way to generate and store energy. Explore a new strategy to capture and convert sunlight, a promising building block to making the entire process sustainable.
