Please understand we are on a journey to a destination. This may change as more information is made available.

This is about to be updated.....4/17/18 more to come.

"Bein ha-arbayim" is translated in some literal translations as between the evenings.  History tells us this was more like an idiom and interpreted to mean between a time after-NOON and Sunset or twilight.  Or as Rashi plainly says "in the afternoon".  Even in Jewish circles where evening to evening to prominent, they do not interpret it the way your diagram shows.

In no way could we interpret the Israelites having been commanded to slay the Passover any time between the evening of the 14th and the 15th as your diagram shows. YHWH visited them at midnight to slay the firstborn, and they were to have eaten the Passover by morning and burn the rest.

Exo 11:4  And Moses said, Thus saith YHWH, About midnight will I go out into the midst of Egypt:

Exo 12:29  And it came to pass, that at midnight YHWH smote all the firstborn in the land of Egypt, from the firstborn of Pharoah that sat on his throne unto the firstborn of the captive that was in the dungeon; and all the firstborn of cattle.

Exo 34:25  Thou shalt not offer the blood of my sacrifice with leaven; neither shall the sacrifice of the feast of the passover be left unto the morning.

Num 9:12  They shall leave none of it unto the morning, nor break any bone of it: according to all the ordinances of the passover they shall keep it.

I've attached a diagram to illustrate when we reckon "bein ha-arbayim".

Psalm 81-blow the shofar at the new full day at the hag, Psalm 81 revealed, there is no moon there....Hag is one of 3 required feasts.
Exodus 34:22 tewkufa, turning of thing something turns....Equinox....

I think the priestly order is off  but the webpage has a lot of good study references
