About Me
I am Meghna Lowalekar, currently a Data science consultant at THB and Guest Faculty at IIIT-Hyderabad.
I completed my PhD in July 2020. I was advised by Assoc. Prof. Pradeep Varakantham (SMU) and Prof. Patrick Jaillet (MIT).
My main research interests are: Online Stochastic Optimization, Sequential Decision Making, Influence Maximization, Game Theory,
Background: I did my B.Tech and MS by research from IIIT Hyderabad and graduated in 2009. As part of my master's thesis, I worked on Access control and Failure resilience in workflows under the guidance of Prof. Kamalakar Karlapalem and Ritesh Kumar Tiwari. After graduation, I joined Qualcomm, Hyderabad as a Software Engineer. In Qualcomm, I worked on Adaptive video streaming protocols such as HTTP Live Streaming and MPEG-DASH. Three years later, I joined Microsoft, Hyderabad and worked there for a year in the Bing Local Search division.
In April 2014, I started working as a Research Engineer in Singapore Management University under the guidance of Assoc. Prof. Pradeep Varakantham. In August 2015, I joined as a PhD student at SMU.
