The Midwest Ecology and Evolution Conference (MEEC) is a conference organized by, and geared toward, graduate and undergraduate students wishing to present research and make future connections.
MEEC 2011 will be held Friday, April 1 to Sunday, April 3 on the campus of Southern Illinois University Carbondale.
The heart of the conference will be oral and poster presentations contributed by participating undergraduate and graduate students. The conference will also include an opening mixer, a banquet Saturday evening, and keynote addresses from a leading researcher in ecology and evolution. Furthermore, meeting attendees will have the opportunity to attend a post-conference (Sunday afternoon) fieldtrip to see the spring snake migration (recently featured in national geographic) at LaRue-Pine Hills in the Shawnee National Forest.
