Thank You for a Successful Year
Thanks to the incredible support of our elementary school community, this year MEPTO has raised $20,000 for our schools--in addition to the $15,000 given to Memorial for books, $10,000 given to McGovern for books and the $35,000 set aside for the Community Farm program! Of this, $5,000 will be earmarked for special request grants from teachers and staff, $9,000 will go to Memorial School, and $6,000 will go to McGovern School.
We are thrilled that MEPTO is able to give back to our schools--and our students--in such a meaningful way, and we are so grateful to all our volunteers and supporters for making that possible.

News from the Schools and Community
Pre-K Food Drive
Our youngest students are leading a November Food Drive at McGovern School. During any in the month of November, you may donate non-perishable food products, such as pasta, spaghetti sauce, canned soups, veggies, fruits, gravy, tuna, cereal, hot cereal, snack bars, etc. Our preschoolers will gather the donation, count them, and have them delivered to local people in need. Thank you so much for your generous participation!
Medway Foundation for Education (MFE) Event:
Our friends with MFE are having a Wine & Whiskey Tasting this email@example.com to put your name on the list. Tickets are $10 and will be sold at the door. 100% of proceeds will support MFE, a non-profit organization charged with raising capital to fund innovative, educational and teacher-sponsored projects throughout Medway's public schools. Family Literacy Night and Nonfiction Book Drive at Burke-Memorial
Dust off your home library shelves and donate new or "Gently Used" nonfiction books for students in grades 2-4. A collection bin will be placed in main lobby of the school THIS WEEK. Books collected with be leveled and/or grouped and re-distributed into classroom library collections.
Also, save the date offor Family Literacy Night at Burke-Memorial. The school team looks forward to entertaining students and families with another memorable Faculty Readers Theater, Family Workshops and a few new surprises. Registration information regarding registration will be sent home soon.
