MEPTO Meeting Schedule Change & Call For Topics
Please note we are moving our MEPTO meeting, originally scheduled for Jan. 20, due to a presentation at the middle school. Instead we will meet on Wed., February 3 at McGovern School. More details to come, so please follow us on Facebook or check out our website for updates.

We'd also love to hear from you about topics for this and/or future MEPTO meetings! We know you are busy so we want to make sure our meetings are both relevant and timely, and address YOUR needs/questions/interests. So far this year we've tackled back-to-school anxiety and "Googlepalooza", both featuring presentations by our wonderful elementary staff, but we know there are so many more issues we could cover.

So tell us: What would you like to learn more about? Send us an email and let us know. Any and all suggestions are appreciated!

Ready, Set, Register!
It may be cold and snowy now, but the Shamrock Shuffle will be here before you know it!

MEPTO proudly presents the 5th annual Shamrock Shuffle 5K Run on Saturday, March 12 at 9am

The 5K course starts at Medway High School and winds through the scenic back roads of Medway. The race is open to runners and walkers of all ages and abilities, including children and families. All proceeds from the race go directly to MEPTO to support activities, enrichment programs, and new technology in our elementary schools.

Click here to register. Free long sleeve T-shirts to anyone who registers by Feb. 28!

Interested in helping out, either before the event or on race day? Please email Melinda Currul or Andrea White.

Save the Date for the Basket Raffle & Ice Cream Social
MEPTO's annual Basket Raffle & Ice Cream Social event will take place on Friday, May 6th at Medway High School.

What is the Basket Raffle? Each classroom will be assigned a fun theme in the next few weeks (think LEGO, Movie Night, Red Sox, "Mad Scientist" and more) and children are invited to bring in a small item to add to "their" class basket. On the evening of the Basket Raffle, children can purchase raffle tickets to try and win their favorite baskets. Last year, this event raised nearly $8,000 for our elementary schools!

Oh, and there is ice cream for all families too, as our treat to you.

Be on the lookout soon for info coming home in backpacks with more details about the event and your child's classroom theme. And we're still looking for volunteers! If you're interested in helping out with this year's event, whether it's coordinating your child's classroom basket or lending a hand the night of the event (or both!), please email Laura Mullen
It's BINGO Time!
Save the date for MEPTO's first Family Bingo Night! Join us on Friday, February 26 at 6:30pm in the Memorial School cafeteria for some fun, laughs, and -- yes -- bingo. So mark your calendars and please follow us on Facebook or visit our website for more details and updates about this event.

Click to register your family for Family Bingo Night: All families must register so we can plan! Thank you!
Box Tops Bonanza
Did you know that this fall Medway elementary families collected just over 18,000 box tops, which equates to approximately $1800 for our schools? That is simply incredible! Thank you so much, MEPTO families!

Here's a challenge: can we raise even more this spring? Our spring box tops campaign is kicking off! So start clipping away and be ready to send in your trimmed labels (in plastic baggies labeled with your child's name and room number) by Friday, Feb. 12

Questions? For McGovern School, please contact  Leslie Mitchell; for Memorial School, please contact Lori Rossi.
