Re:                  Plans for the Mardi Gras Trip

 

             On Saturday, March 1st. the Manchester Essex Debate team will attend the 21st annual Mardi Gras tournament at Shrewsbury High School.  The team will leave at 6:30AM on Saturday morning from the MERHS parking lot.    

Debate teacher John Mullady will chaperone the trip, along with judges Jim Haynie, Tim Malarkey, Mark Potter and Brian Davis. If an emergency develops during the day, call your child’s cell phone or contact Mr. Mullady.  Students should bring money for lunch and snacks.  

 We will return to MERHS on Saturday evening. For information about our progress and exact arrival time, please call your child’s cell phone. If you have questions before Saturday morning please contact me at colemanj@mersd.org.

Tentative Tournament Time Schedule (subject to change )

                                     REGISTRATION  7:45 - 2nd floor

            JUDGES MEETINGS (mandatory)         8:15

                 IE meeting Presentation Room & Debate in the Band Room (both in C Wing off Commons area)

          CONGRESS WILL HAVE TWO SESSIONS (9:00-11:45AM and 12:30-3:00PM) FOLLOWED BY A FINAL SUPERSESSION.

          DEBATE:

            LD - 4 PRELIMINARY ROUNDS and will break to Semifinals and Finals.  

            PF - 6 PRELIMINARY ROUNDS for all teams and no elimination rounds. 

            ALL DEBATE WILL BE SINGLE FLIGHTS
