The Manchester Essex debate team sent three Public Forum teams, three Varsity Lincoln-Douglas debaters, and three Novice Lincoln Douglas debaters to Lexington high school on Saturday, November 22. The teams of Charlie Davis and Jenny Cochand (juniors), Oscar Heanue (junior) and Hannah Riordan (senior), and Connor Senay and Emmett Strack (juniors) competed in Public Forum. Senior Nick Albertazzi, Sophomore Meehan Irose, and Senior Jack Hay competed in Varsity Lincoln-Douglas, and freshmen Kevin Albertazzi and Will Cole, as well as junior Joe Alabali were in the Novice Lincoln-Douglas pool.

In Public Forum, the teams of Cochand and Davis and Heanue and Riordan went undefeated in prelims and were separated by just 0.5 speaker points. The teams placed second and third overall, respectively. Cochand and Davis's prelim ranking earned them a spot in the final round of Public Forum. In this round, they were defeated by a team from Lexington. There were a total of 110 Public Forum teams at the tournament, and teams from Manchester-Essex ended ranked second and third. Senay and Strack narrowly missed a winning record, finishing 2-3.

In Varsity Lincoln-Douglas, Albertazzi went undefeated and won the entire tournament. Irose and Hay both posted records of 2-2. In Novice Lincoln-Douglas, the younger Albertazzi placed eighth overall with a record of 3-1. Alabali finished with a record of 2-2, and Cole ended with a record of 0-4.

This was a very exciting tournament for the team, which looks forward to repeating its successes at Lincoln-Sudbury and Blake!
