Next Math Circle: The game of SET

Wednesday, October 10, 2012
11:30 am in Room AB1-L00

This week we take a break from research talks and meetings to do some puzzles. No mathematics background required! Just curiosity and a willingness to try games with funny rules. And maybe, if the mood strikes you, to make up rules for games of your own. This is a chance to explore mathematical ideas informally and among friends. It's called a Math Circle.

For an introduction to the SET game, go here or here.
You can play the game online here.
You can download a (modified) deck of cards here.
And here is an article with more advanced mathematics related to SET.

Refreshments will be served. Bring a friend from math class!
