All women are invited to attend these informal meetings to chat, knit and have compassion for others.

Help is available if you would like to learn to knit or crochet and yarn, patterns and needles are always available.  Come out and learn a new skill while giving of yourself to others.

The knitting group meets every 2nd and 4th Monday of the month at 1pm in the church library.

All are welcome to attend. We meet the second and fourth Mondays of each month.

Beginners are welcome and will be helped to start a simple project.

Any questions, please call Fran W .

May God Bless all of you.

The knitting needles have been busy for the past four months.  Our donations to Harrisburg Hospital are as follows:  33 baby hats, 3 baby sweater and hat sets, 1 baby sweater and 4 baby afghans.  We also donated 9 lap robes to the Wounded Warriors Association. We would like to say a big thank you to Judy Palm for her generosity in providing all the yarn needed for these items.  If you would like to learn to knit or crochet, please join us the second and fourth Mondays at 1:00 in the church library.  We break for the summer months of June, July and August.  Patterns, yarn and needles are available.  For more information, contact Fran W.

Card Making Project

posted Dec 1, 2014, 8:00 PM by Ken Schmidt   [ updated May 2, 2018, 5:48 PM ]

Our group of four have decided to discontinue the recycling card project.  Our card recycling project began in 2003.  It has provided good fellowship and has generated $1,788.00 since 2003.

June M. was our expert gluer for many years. We appreciate your contributing the cards through the years so that we could create new ones!

Recently, our sales have decreased, probably due to the availability of reasonably priced cards at stores like Dollar Tree and Dollar General.

We’ll continue selling the cards in the back gathering area while the supply lasts.  We would be happy to share the leftover cards and envelopes with those who could use them for crafting or art projects.

Please see Jean R, Harriet B, Rita R, or Nancy S. if you could use these materials.

We plan to officially end the project by the time of the Yard Sale in August.  In the meantime, keep buying!

Thanks for your support!

Caregivers Support Group

posted Sep 18, 2014, 5:29 PM by Ken Schmidt   [ updated May 2, 2018, 5:51 PM ]

Meetings are held the 3rd Tuesday of every month at 1:00 PM in the Church Library.

The group's aim is to enrich the care-giving experience as we open our ears and hearts to others during difficult times in
the life of a caregiver.  They meet monthly in an effort to provide an opportunity to grow in tolerance, patience,
compassion, and understanding the limitless power of love, as we value the gift of care-giving.

If you are or have been a caregiver or know of someone who would like to encourage, support, share helpful hints and give
hope to others on their care-giving journey - this is the support group for you.  We meet in a relaxed atmosphere where you
can talk freely with other caregivers sharing your thoughts, fears and apprehensions and know you are not alone.

For more information, please contact the Church Office at 717.766.8880.

Group Moderators are Lois S, Janie D, and Fran W.
