Wednesday Morning Bible Study

posted Nov 4, 2014, 2:01 PM by Ken Schmidt   [ updated Mar 4, 2017, 4:07 PM ]

Bible Study during March will be on every Wednesday except March 15th.

Sin: we cannot deny our sin nature; we must resist the attraction of sin, yet confess when we do sin.

Love: Jesus commands us to love others as he did.  Love means putting others first; to show love, we must give sacrificially of our time and money to meet the needs of others.

Family of God: Christ had an eternal fellowship with the Father.  During his ministry, Jesus introduced the Father to the disciples- bringing them into Fellowship with the Father,
and then through the apostles this fellowship was extended to every believer. Those who entered this fellowship by believing in Christ became members of God’s family- the Christian community.

Truth: God is truth and light, so the more we get to know Him, the better we can keep focused on the truth.

Assurance:  Because God’s Word is true, believers can have assurance of eternal life and victory over sin.  By faith, they can be certain of their eternal destiny.

Caregivers Support Group

posted Sep 18, 2014, 5:29 PM by Ken Schmidt   [ updated Mar 4, 2017, 4:08 PM ]

Meetings are held the 3rd Tuesday of every month at 1:00 PM in the Church Library. Next Meeting is March 21st.

The group's aim is to enrich the care-giving experience as we open our ears and hearts to others during difficult times in
the life of a caregiver.  They meet monthly in an effort to provide an opportunity to grow in tolerance, patience,
compassion, and understanding the limitless power of love, as we value the gift of care-giving.

If you are or have been a caregiver or know of someone who would like to encourage, support, share helpful hints and give
hope to others on their care-giving journey - this is the support group for you.  We meet in a relaxed atmosphere where you
can talk freely with other caregivers sharing your thoughts, fears and apprehensions and know you are not alone.

For more information, please contact the Church Office at 717.766.8880.
Group Moderators are Lois S, Janie D, and Fran W.

Sign up in the narthex.

An Irish themed lunch is planned.

Ever since the 1st kilt was worn by a Scottish Highlander in about the year 1550, the romance of the tartan clothing, haunting bagpipe tunes, the bonnet with a feather, and all things Scots have intrigued us.

Come hear the truths and tales about all things Scottish when 18th century Highland reenactor Mark u demonstrates the wearing of the Kilt and the wearing of the ariasaid (the female version of the kilt) and answers about any question concerning the Scottish culture of past and present.
