New Hope Ministry Dinner

Thanks to all our Volunteers who prepared, served, cleaned up, and assisted with New Hope Ministry’s Dinner on Thursday Night.

Your efforts to serve and care for New Hope’s volunteers were a significant way for us to contribute to support that important ministry in our community.

You represented us very well, as the meal and accommodations were greatly appreciated!

Thank you for the generous 2018 donation for our work ending hunger and poverty in the world!  Your gift will help many families improve their lives, nourish and educate their children, and have the joy of helping others as they pass on the gift of an animal and training to another family in need.  Thank you for being partners in our work since 1981!

A BIG THANK YOU to all that made the Spring Fling Rummage Sale a huge success!  First, thank you for the wonderful donations.  We especially thank those who set up the work area and sorted all the donations and to the kitchen crew who prepared and served the best food and to the checkout persons and clerks who helped the customers.  Also – Thank you to our bakers for the delicious treats and clerks who helped sell them.  And a big thanks to those behind the scenes who make this fundraiser possible.

“Dear church family.  We have been so fortunate to have your help in this challenging time since our surgeries. Your cards, meals, transportation assistance, visits, and prayers have been invaluable to us.  Pastor Del was there when we needed his support.  May you all be blessed with the knowledge that God's love is shown through the hands of His faithful people.”

Please accept our family’s most humble and heartfelt “Thank You” for all your many prayers that are at work every day, thoughtful words written in cards, and the
meaningful phone calls made while Bill was at home and since Bill’s passing.  I would also like to give a most appreciative “Thank You” to those of you that passed
on your warmth and caring with a variety of food.  Our church family has been so kind, thoughtful and giving.  It is hard to express how much each of you mean to us.
Some days have held many different feelings for each of us, but we hang on to the Love which you have so freely given and your opening of your hearts by saying,
“If there is anything we can do for you, and please don’t hesitate to call.”  Lastly, we definitely want to give a very earnest “Thank You” to Pastor Del for being with us
through all of Bill’s hospital stay for 11 days and during his short return home with visits and prayers and phone calls; which were always uplifting.  Pastor Del’s visits
along with many others were very revitalizing for Bill’s sense of well-being.  The walks that some of you experienced with Bill while visiting was the best medicine he
received.  He felt so much better while in motion even though it was tiring.  Pastor Del’s prayers always seemed to have the right words for the scope of the day and
until his return visit.  The service that was held at our church was so meaningful for our family and many that attended.  We thank you, Pastor Del, for giving so much
personal time and working with our family in preparing the service.  Thanks also to those who provided music, worked the sound system and working in the kitchen
to provide light refreshments.  God has heard many thoughts, words, and feelings through our personal prayers – yours and Pastor Del’s.  We don’t understand why
Bill was called so early, but we know Bill is pain free and happy to be with his heavenly Father.  We are so grateful to have had the precious time we had with a husband,
father, and grandfather leaving us with many special memories to cherish.  Thanks to all for being there with us.

Many Words of Thanks!

Throughout this season, we have had many helpers who have contributed to the decor and the activities of our congregation.  We thank those who have helped us to place the wreaths and the trees, the silks and poinsettias, and to decorate the facility for our worship and events.  The result beautifies our church and helps us to remember the preciousness of this season.

We thank those who contributed to provide cookies for our own seniors and for those “traveling through” as they receive the blessing of the Truck Stop Ministry.  We thank those who have blessed us with food and preparations for Coffee Fellowship and the Christmas Luncheon today.  And we thank those who contributed socks, mittens, and other gifts to support New Hope Ministries, the Wildcat Fund and needs in our community.  These are reminders that the gift of God to us is to be shared!

We thank all of those who have or who will contribute to our worship in this season; including our children through their musical, the Choir through the cantata, the Bell Choir and Ensemble, the worship leaders, readers, the worship planners, and the families who have assisted us in the Advent candle services.  And we thank those who, behind the scenes, make sure that events are planned, that scripts are complete, that the sound and lights work, that the candles are in place, and that we can focus our times together on the reason for the season.

Together, your efforts enable us to open our hearts again to receive God’s love and forgiveness through the Good News of the gift of God’s Son to us.  Thank you.  And thanks be to God, who gives us the privilege to “repeat the sounding joy” of this good news for the world!
