My Dear Church Family,

When trying to think of how to thank you these words of an old hymn came to mind." O How Wonderful, O How Marvelous” it is to have such a loving, caring church family.  You have been there to support me in so many ways. There were  offers to help in any way I needed it, meals provided, visits,  prayers offered up, cards sent with messages of caring, beautiful flowers came, hugs and loving words, even just a look meant so much to me.

A thank you to all who helped with the memorial service, Pastor Del with  beautiful words, Janet with inspiring  organ music, Ron K. who did sound, Art who ushered, Jean, and the luncheon committee who served us so well and all who came or sent well wishes.  My family and I will be forever grateful.

“Many thanks for the prayers, love, cards and caring that was sent my way during the illness and death of my dad, John Y.  I marvel at how people survive without a caring faith community. I'm thankful for all of you.”

“Thank you for the pot of pansies we received.  Pansies are my favorite flowers; roses are Owen’s specialty.  He could hardly wait to plant the colorful pansies!  He watched the weather reports for two days before he could use his tools to prepare another spot for the additional gift of pansies.  Thanks for remembering us!”

Thanks to all who provided food and other assistance for the “Meet and Greet Event” with our Muslim neighbors on Monday evening.  We had close to 100 participants overall, including 37 persons from our congregation.

“Thank you so much for your help in making the Spring Fling a success again this year.  Besides the people who brought in clothing and baked goods, we had 59 people physically helping during the week.  We had many people complementing us on our clothing selections, the way we displayed them and the good food.  Many hands made it possible to get everything off the stage Monday and the rest of the time was spent organizing things.  We had several people working for the first time which was nice.  I feel we got to know each other a little better and I think we had a good time working together.  We were able to give close to $3,000 to be divided between Witness and Capital Reserve Fund.  Thank you again for your willingness to help with this project.”

“The Wakefield family wishes to thank our church friends for the thoughts, prayers and cards received in the passing of my mom, Betty J. L.  Your thoughtfulness meant more than can be expressed in these words.”
