December 18th -- Advent Sunday #4 -- "...In This Way"Matthew’s
telling of the circumstances around the birth of Jesus may surprise us when
extracted from Luke’s angelic proclamations and stable imagery. It is a story easily misunderstood; both then
and now. Joseph imagines a compassionate way to do damage control in the wake
of this pregnancy.Yet, what he imagined
to be a mistake or worse, was truly a testimony of God’s intent.Why is it that God chooses to enter the world
“in this way”?

Children’s Christmas Musical: “All About That Baby”It’s That Time! Rehearsals are now well underway for
our children’s Christmas Musical, scheduled to be performed on Sunday, December
4th as the focus of our morning worship!
This year, Sherry B. is
directing the musical, which is “All
About That Baby” – A Sheep-ishly Fun Christmas Musical for Kids! The musical was created by Christy Semsen
and arranged by Daniel Semsen. Thanks to all the
parents and helpers who have been assisting in various ways.In November,
the rehearsal times expand to 6 – 8 p.m.

While we have ongoing deacon assignments for our senior citizens and those with special needs, this “on call” service is available to the whole congregation. Consider this as a supplement and support to the pastoral care that our Pastor provides. Combined Worship (10:30) in December…LOOKING AHEAD to DECEMBER WORSHIPGiven the large number of Sundays during December, and the holidays of Christmas and New Year falling on Sundays, we will plan to conduct COMBINED WORSHIP at 10:30 throughout December and the first Sunday of January. On the second Sunday January (the 8th ) we will resume our two services at 8:15 and 10:30). We hope that knowing this schedule in advance will help you to plan for your holiday gatherings and also plan to be with us for worship!

Cancelled StampsPlease continue to save your cancelled postage stamps from your letters and cards. There is a collection jar in the Narthex area for them. The stamps will continue to be delivered to the Brethren Home to Benefit the Good Samaritan Fund.
