  • Upcoming Sunday Messages:

  • July 7th -- "Proclaim Christ as Love" (Annual Conference, Combined Worship) Worship Theme:  Following on the Conference Theme of “Proclaim Christ, Reclaim Passion”, we will hear the message from Moderator Donita K., who opened the conference with this message. Scripture texts:  Isaiah 43:18-21, II Corinthians 5:12-21

  • July 14th -- "Being a Neighbor" <Pastor Keeney> Worship Theme:  The story is so familiar that it loses its jarring impact.  But being a good neighbor and overcoming barriers to care for others is not an optional behavior in Jesus’ book.  It is core to our identity as followers of the Master.  So, how do we overcome what makes us fearful of being that exemplary neighbor? Scripture text:  Luke 10:25-37

  • July 21st -- "Opening Your Door for God" <Pastor Keeney> Worship Theme: We might all say, “well, if I knew God was coming, I would have prepared something special”.  Abram didn’t know.  His pattern of hospitality, deeply entrenched in his culture, had him convey a blessing on every one who crossed his doorstep.  How might we benefit from such an approach toward those who enter our lives?  Would we be surprised by God? Scripture texts: Genesis 18:1-10a

  • July 28th -- "Boldness in Prayer" <Pastor Keeney> Worship Theme: How bold are you in prayer?  When Jesus’ followers asked about prayer, Jesus gave them an example (the Lord’s Prayer) and a parable.  The parable in particular provokes our sensibilities.  It doesn’t seem right to demand of another in the middle of the night.  And yet, Jesus challenges us to open our lives to God through prayer.  What might that look like for us? Scripture texts:   Luke 11:1-13
