 Upcoming Sunday Messages:

  • October 23rd -- “Prayer that Presumes” (Reception of New Members at the 10:30am Service) Often, the most revealing part of our prayers is what we do not pray for; what we take for granted.  At its most powerful, our conversation with God shapes us when we lift our assumptions to God!  Can you imagine that?  Can you pray for that? Scripture Texts: Jeremiah 14:7-10, 19-22; Luke 18:9-14

  • October 30th -- "Short-sighted" There was something about Zacchaeus that got him up in that tree.  And there was something about Jesus that got him back down.  In the process, we learn about one whose sight was changed!  What can change a life like that?  How does our sight get stretched?Scripture Texts: Isaiah 1:10-18; Luke 19:1-10

  • DEACONS ON CALL Our deacon team is beginning a new service to the congregation. While we have ongoing deacon assignments for our senior citizens and those with special needs, this “on call” service is available to the whole congregation.  Consider this as a supplement and support to the pastoral care that our Pastor provides.  If you have a crisis, or compelling need, know that one of the deacons will be on call.  Here is the upcoming schedule for our “deacons on call”:    Deacons on Call:   Phyllis P. & Linda W.   October 9th - October 22nd   Jeff M. & Mina-Sue B.October 23rd - November 5th

  • Youth Coordinator Search underway…             As we now move forward with a renewed search for a Youth Coordinator, we will be extending our search beyond our congregation.              That likely means contacts with regional colleges and the broader circle of our district.               We are currently in the process of finalizing publicity for that search.              If you know of persons who might have both the skills and the interest in this ministry, please contact Pastor Del or Cindy T.               We thank John-Michael for agreeing to continue to work with our youth on an interim basis as we move into the fall.              Please be in prayer that we may find a fitting person to lead our youth ministry.
