I am currently teaching college prep chemistry at Catholic Memorial School in West Roxbury, where I have developed a course focusing on hands-on activities and using multiple methods of instruction to teach each unit. After earning a dual degree bachelor in Secondary Education and Chemistry from the Boston College Lynch School of Education, I completed a M.Ed in Curriculum and Instruction in May 2011. The focus of my graduate coursework revolved around integrating pedagogical theory into best teaching practices, particularly working with English Language Learners.

Since starting teaching, I have been actively involved in continuing my own professional development through participating in the NSTA New Science Teacher Academy and Boston Museum of Science Teacher-In-Residence, as well as science education leadership working with the Massachusetts Association of Science Teachers (MAST) Board of Directors and as a Curator for NGSS@NSTA
