Awards 2018

The  American Library Association recently announced their youth media award winners.  Here are some of the top book prize winners:

The John Newbery Medal for the most outstanding contribution to children's literature was awarded to “Hello Universe” written by Erin Entrada Kelly.


The Randolph Caldecott Medal for the most distinguished American picture book for children went to "Wolf in the Snow" by Matthew Cordell.  

The Schneider Family Book Award that recognizes books that embody an artistic expression of the disability experience was awarded to "Silent Days, Silent Dreams" by Allen Say.  

The Theodor Seuss Geisel Award for the most distinguished book for beginning readers went to "Charlie & Mouse" by Laurel Snyder.
