Chili my way - Serves 3-4

1 pound of chopped beef
1 onion, chopped
2-3 cloves of garlic, minced
1 can of pinto beans undrained
1 can Hunts fire-roasted tomatoes with either garlic or green chilis (your pick)
4 tablespoons of Chili powder
1 TBS Worcestershire Sauce
1 TBS tomato paste
1 1/2  tsp. cumin
1 tsp. salt
3/4 beef broth
Hot sauce/pepper to taste
Cheese/sour cream for garnish.

  1. Put a little olive oil in a frying pan, and saute the onion and garlic til' translucent.  Add the beef and brown.
  2. Add the remainder of the ingredients.  Stir until combined.  Allow to simmer for about 10 minutes to blend the flavors.  You can leave it on the stove as long as you want though...just make sure to check it after about an hour to see if you need to add more liquid.
  3. Adjust the seasoning if necessary.
  4. Serve in bowls with tortilla chips - garnish with shredded mexican cheese or sour cream.
