Kogelberg with John Crumley, 10 March 2013

posted 30 Apr 2013, 13:25 by Hagen Liebberger
The Kogelberg hike was great. Four of us started from the beach headquarters, and from sea to summit of 1260 meters and back with no established trail to follow took us most of the day, nearly nine hours with gusty wind. The view from the top was spectacular. Much of the western cape was visible - from Cape Town to Gansbaai on the sea side, and Riebeek Kasteel, Du Toits peak, and Matroosberg on the inland side all visible from our picnic spot above the deep kloof. Fine weather and a good day.
