Principal Training Program - Module III

Day 1: 21st Century Teaching & Learning, National & State Educational Technology Support, Cloud Computing, Technology Leadership & Web 2.0 Tools.

Day 2: Communicating, Collaborating & Connecting with Tech, Online Learning, Mobil Learning Initiatives, Cybersafety & Web 2.0 Tools.

Purpose

  • Utilize technology, fiscal, and human resources for student academic success;
  • Manage data and assessment to guide teacher decisions regarding student interventions and school site instructional practices;
  • Establish and communicate state and district visions and goals for student-focused instructional improvement;
  • Create awareness and familiarity with state and national standards for all instructional team members and core subjects.

    While the graphic represents each element distinctly for descriptive purposes, the Partnership views all the components as fully interconnected in the process of 21st century teaching and learning.

    The elements described below are the critical systemsnecessary to ensure 21st century readiness for every student. Twenty-firstcentury standards, assessments, curriculum, instruction, professionaldevelopment and learning environments must be aligned to produce a supportsystem that produces 21st century outcomes for today’s students.

CTAP (California Technology Assistance Project): Intended to promote the effective use of technology in teaching, learning and school administration, CTAP provides assistance to schools and districts based upon local needs in each of 11 regions in California. CTAP of Monterey County


CLRN (California Learning Resource Network): CLRN provides educators with a "one-stop" resource for critical information needed for the selection of supplemental electronic learning resources aligned to the State Board of Education academic  
content standards.


EdTechProfile: Provides educational administrators with tools that guide their decisions about how to integrate technology into classroom instruction and how to create and evaluate effective teacher technology training programs.



TICAL (Technology Information Center for Administrative Leadership): A one-stop, technology information portal for school administrators, by school administrators



TechSETS: TechSETS is focused on providing technical professionals in California schools with improved access to training, support and other resources.
