Bring earbuds or headphones for the workshop on music-morning session

Bring your Laptop or Chrome book for optimal experience -afternoon session

(iPads and tablets ok but not optimal)

Learn how to build literacy through authentic music & literary or informational texts

Experience multiple strategies that prepare student to listen/read, support students while listening/reading, and bridge to presentational speaking and writing after listening/reading

Give students an authentic purpose for communication and an authentic audience for their ideas

Use three online tools that engage students in real-world conversations with speakers around the globe

Provide opportunities for students to collaborate on issues/topics that they are exploring in class

See how these tools go further than the traditional 'penpals' by facilitating asynchronous communication via video and text

Create material/projects ready for Monday
