The McKnight Women's Club is separate from, and often confused with the McKnight Village Civic Association and the McKnight United Methodist Church.  The Women's Club has its own board and the objective of this organization is to promote social and philanthropic work.  The club organizes community activities, sponsors summer recreational programs for our children, and works with the McKnight Village Civic Association in neighborhood improvements.

Please note that although we meet at a United Methodist Church, the McKnight Women's Club is not associated with any particular church.  We do however consider ourselves a non-denominational Christian womens group, and we begin each meeting with a prayer.  We are over 100 women who work together to help improve the local community and together we are a force greater than our individual parts.  We are always seeking new members, but especially in September and October when we renew our memberships and start a new club year.  Please consider joining!

Be an active member.  The kind that would be missed;
Don't just be content that your name is on the list.
Do attend the meetings and mingle with the crowd;
Don't stay at home and crab both long and loud.
Do take an active part to help the club along.
Don't leave the work for just a few and gripe about the clique.
There is quite a program scheduled that means success if done,
And it can be accomplished with the help of everyone.
So attend the meetings regularly and help with hand and heart.
Be an active member and take an active part.
Think this over, member.  Are we right or are we wrong?
Be an active member - Don't just belong.
2017 Run for the Rec
We had 265 registered participants, and raised over $7500 to help keep the McKnight Village Recreation area a beautiful, safe, clean and fun place for the whole community. We had 122 timed participants finish the race, and probably another hundred walking, strolling, etc. In first place overall was 17 year old Joey Buehner, and in first place overall for the women was 15 year old Paige Lyden. For complete results, see the 2017 R4R Complete Results tab.

A huge thank you to our event committee, all of our volunteers (some of whom are pictured below), and especially to our sponsors.
