The Hamilton County Mass Casualty Incident Response Drill will take place on Wednesday May 15, 2013.  The drill will take place at the Hamilton County Fairgrounds which is located at 7801 Anthony Wayne Avenue near the intersection of Vine Street (Ohio Route 4) and Anthony Wayne Avenue. The fairgrounds location places the drill in the center of Hamilton County accessed by Interstate 75 at Exit 9, Ronald Reagan Cross County Highway (Ohio Route 126), Galbraith Road, Vine Street (Ohio Route 4), and the Norwood Lateral (Ohio Route 562). Additionally the fairgrounds location is at the boundary of the City of Cincinnati and Hamilton County.

The drill will commence in the morning of May 15th with an incident occurring in the fairgrounds being originally dispatched as a simple incident which will quickly escalate into a Mass Casualty Incident. We will utilize the upper section of the fairgrounds as the STAGING area and move up units from that point.

Since this is the first test of this MCI Plan we will script many of the positions in order to fairly test the plan and not to test the individuals since this may be the first time many of the people have taken part in a drill of this magnitude.
