I am a molecular biologist and virologist broadly interested in understanding host/pathogen interactions at the molecular level. My graduate research focused on understanding the intracellular response to viral infection and cytokine signaling. I completed my doctoral research in Dr. Stacy Horner's laboratory in the Molecular Genetics and Microbiology Department at Duke University, for which I received my PhD in November 2020.
Education and mentorship are areas that I am particularly interested in and passionate about. In addition to developing research skills during my graduate education, I have dedicated myself to developing skills in scientific teaching and training, as well as professional development mentorship.
