1 1/4 lbs pork chops/chicken thighs/ boneless sirloin steak. Slice meat across grain and marinated for at least 2 hours
Pkg of Small tacos
Marinade:
2 T oil
1 T oyster sauce
1 T soy sauce
1 T fish sauce
1 1/2 t ginger
1 1/2 t garlic
2 1/2 T chopped onion
2 t brown sugar
Salad topping for tacos:
1/2 bag tri-color coleslaw
1 persian cuke cut into matchsticks
1/2 sliced red onion
1 thai chilli finely sliced
basil and cilantro leaves, chopped
Season to taste with salt, pepper, rice vinegar
Sauce for Tacos:
Mayo
Rice vinegar
Ginger
lime zest & juice
Sriracha
Honey
Grill meat
Warm tacos in Microwave for 20 sec, then warm each taco on both sides in a frying pan
Assemble tacos, Meat first, Salad on top followed by sauce.
Vietnamese Tacos w. Turkey Meatballs
1/2 onion (chopped fine)
3 t grated ginger
2 t finely chopped garlic
1 T finely chopped stalk of Lemon grass
1 T fish sauce
1 T oyster sauce
1 T ketchup
1 T sriracha sauce
2 thai chilles, chopped fine
2 T cilantro, chopped fine
1 lb. ground turkey
Mix first 9 ingredients. Add ground turkey and mix well. Form small meatballs, flatten each and broil for 5-6 min on each side.
Serve with Store bought coleslaw mixed with a little fresh coriander and seasoned Rice vinegar.
