Slightly modified recipe...
3/4 stick unsalted butter, softened
1/3 cup (120ml) vegetable oil
2 tblsp milk
1/2 cup (115g) granulated sugar
1/2 cup (50g) powdered sugar
1 large egg
2 tsp vanilla extract
2 cups (240g) plain/all purpose flour
1/2 tsp baking soda
1/4 tsp salt
1 chai tea bag or blend ... note use mortar and pestle to grind into a fine powder
(1/2 inch Fresh ginger-finely grated
4-5 cardamon ground
1/8 tsp clove powder
cinnamon powder
small pinch of saffron
1 1/2 - 2 tsp teabags)
For the icing use jug to mix:
1 cup (105g) powdered sugar/icing sugar
2 tbsp whole milk (add a little at a time)
Cinnamon
Nutmeg
Mix butter, add oil, mix to combine
Add Sugars, egg, vanilla, Chai tea bag or blend, mix
Add flour+baking soda, salt and fold
Chill dough overnight or for 2 hrs min for flavours to meld and dough to harden
Scoop dough, roll into balls and roll into a mixture powdered sugar/cinnamon/nutmeg
Drizzle cookie when cooled with icing
Bake @ 350 for 9 mins
