Ingredients:
1.5 to 2.0 pounds of shrimp (fried)
4 large onions
8-10 cloves of garlic (minced)
1 inch piece of ginger (minced)
1 tbl spoon ground coriander powder
Approx 1/2 cup sugar (to taste)
1 to 2 tsp salt
vinegar to taste
Reshad masala (see below)
Saute onions on medium heat until golden brown; add the minced garlic and ginger and continue sauting until onions brown but don't burn. Take your time with this and do not burn. Set onion/garlic/ginger mixture aside.
Saute reshad masala on low adding the coriander powder
Add the fried shrimp and onion mixture then add the sugar, salt and vinegar to taste
Cook on low until oil seperates
Bottle when cool
Reshad masala:
8 to 10 chilies
2 tsp ground cumin
1 tsp pepper
3/4 tbl sp tumeric
