Tart base: For 1.5 base quantity
3/4 cup sugar 1.125 C (1 cup + 1/2 pf a quarter cup)
4 tbl spoon butter 6 Tbl Spoons
1 egg 1.5 egg
1 cup flour 1.5 Cup flour
1 tsp baking powder 1.5 tsp baking powder
1 tsp vanilla 1.5 tsp
3 Granny Smith apples, peeled, cored and sliced
3 tbl spoon melted butter
3 tbl spoons sugar
1 tsp cinnamon
1 egg
Method:
1. Using a food processor, process cake ingredients until mixture resembles cornmeal. Press into a well buttered flan tin.
2. Arrange apple slices on top and bake at 350 deg (170 deg C) for 35/40 mins; remove from the oven.
3. Using a food processor, process ingredients till smooth. Pour evenly over apples and bake for 25 mins until top is firm.
