05/03/2020 - New HP Lovecast podcast is now live!  In Episode 27, we discuss Ian Welke's Bram Stoker nominated End Times at Ridgemont High (2015) from Omnium Gatherum. 

04/18/2020 - After a two-year hiatus, HP Lovecast podcast is back and is now being streamed through Buzzsprout and other popular podcast venues.  In Episode 26, Nicholas Diak and I discuss "The Inhabitants of the Lake" by Ramsey Campbell and "Mirror Fishing" by John Langan, two short stories from Dark Region Press' anthology The Children of Gla'aki (2018).

01/05/2018 - I can announce that I'll be moderating two panels at the upcoming Long Beach Comic Expo being held February 17 and 18. The panels are: Saturday at 5 PM for "Fanbase Press Presents: Swords, Sandals, Sorcery, and Other Worlds" and Sunday at 2:30 PM for "Fanbase Press Presents: Exploring Themes of Legacy in Star Wars." 07/02/2017 - In receipt of my press badge for San Diego Comic Con International being held this year, July 19 - 23, 2017.

06/30/2017 - Continuing to establish myself as a subject matter expert on mummies: my abstract to contribute a chapter to an anthology focusing on gender and horror has been accepted. Publication is expected to release late 2018. More details forthcoming.

06/25/2017 - The second annual Ann Radcliffe Academic Conference will be held in Providence, Rhode Island - H.P. Lovecraft country! And, it's time to start thinking about presenting. Here's the Call for Proposals, due November 27, 2017. StokerCon's dates are March 1 - 4, 2018.

06/18/2017 - Occasionally, I will photograph concerts in the Los Angeles region to accompany Nicholas Diak's concert coverage for Heathen Harvest. I am particularly proud of my photos from the Vogel / Dance with the Dead / Carpenter Brut concert at the Union Club in Los Angeles. Check out the article and photos here

03/15/2017 - On Friday evening, March 31, I'll be moderating "Fanbase Press Presents: Star Wars at 40" as part of WonderCon's panel programming. I have a fantastic group of panelists that have been working in the franchise through its 40 year history. 

01/01/2017 - The first Ann Radcliffe Academic Conference will be held on the Queen Mary in Long Beach on Friday, April 28, 2018 as part of the second annual StokerCon organized by the Horror Writers Association.

09/05/2016 - I will be moderating at the Long Beach Comic Con #MakeComics panels spotlighting "The Art of Lettering" and "Coloring Like a Pro." 

06/20/2016 - Accepted position of Co-Chair of the first Horror Writers Association academic conference to be hosted at Stokercon 2017, aptly called the Ann Radcliffe Academic Conference. The call for presentations is up at the StokerCon website, which provides full details. Deadline for abstracts is December 31, 2016. 

03/24/2016 - I will be presenting at the Comics Arts Conference series on Saturday afternoon at WonderCon's Room 411. My presentation is titled: "Dark Horse's Lady Killer: Examining Representations of the Perfect Suburban Life in 1960s America"

08/27/2015 - I will be moderating the Long Beach Comic Con panel, "The Horror of it All" on Sunday, September 13 starting at 11:30 AM. Guest panelists include filmmaker Eli Roth and producer Sandy King Carpenter, both who have been influenced by and influential in the horror genre.

04/09/2015 - Cinema Retro's Tim Greaves reviewed my book.
