Prof. Marcelo Becker (D.Sc.)
I lived one year in Pirassununga. At that time I was 16 years old and wished to become cadet at AFA (Brazilian Air Force Academy). Actually, back at that time, I wanted to become a pilot at the Brazilian Air Force Air Demonstration Squadron (Esquadrilha da Fumaça or Smoke Squadron, in English). But, sometimes life doesn't go the way we plan... The city name is a tupy-guarani word that means: place where the fish makes noise. Up to now, Pirassununga is well known by its natural tourist attractions and country beauties.
Anhangüera Fort, Smoke Squadron Super Tucano, and Cachoeira das Emas.
