My Fundas of Life

These are some ways in which i lead my life. I believe in these fundas. In other words they define my way of living life. The way i look at life.

Planning well is wiser
Doing well is wisest.

Work and leave hunger
Laugh and live longer

o       Don’t speak without thinking,
Don’t act without reflecting.

·        Judgment:

o       At twenty years of age, the will reigns
At thirty, the wit
At forty, the judgment.

·        Money:

o       Money will buy a

§         BED not sleep

§         BOOK not brain

§         FOOD not appetite

§         FINERY  not beauty

§         HOUSE not home

§         MEDICINE not health

§         AMUSEMENT not happiness

§         RELIGION not salvation

§         ACQUAINTANCES not friends

o       Money is a good servant but bad master.

·        Right effort:

o       Correctness of the means employed so much that, even in face of contrary results, the means don’t change nor does the effort vary.

·        He who conquers himself will acquire happiness.

·        The only good is knowledge and the only evil is ignorance.

·        Discipline is the refining fire by which TALENT becomes ABILITY.

·        It’s better to deserve an HONOUR and not have it than to have it and not deserve it.

·        When Planning:

o       For a year, sow corn.
for a decade, plant tree
for a life, train and educate men.

·        Nine things to be kept secret:

o       AGE

o       MONEY


o       FORMULA

o       LIASION

o       MEDICINE

o       PRAYER

o       DONATION

o       INSULT

·        Everybody thinks of changing humanity, nobody thinks of changing himself.

·        Be cheerful always; don’t bother for the hiccups in your life. Just do your duty.

·        Never believe in a person especially woman so quickly.

·        Your ideas Your philosophy rules your life.

·        Only Foes:

o       Proud

o       Anger

o       Greed

o       Desire

o       Liquor

·        A good discussion is like a miniskirt; short enough to contain interest, long enough to cover subject.

·        Never lose your dignity, honor or prestige for anything.

·        Always make a friendship with a fellow who is more intelligent, capable than you.

·        Self-respect is priceless. Don’t lose it.

·        Nothing would be done at all if a man waited till he could do it so well that it is faultless!

·        They CAN because they THINK they CAN.

·        Diplomacy is all about engaging and disengaging.

·        To speak or not to speak; when that is the question, silence should take the place of speech.

·        Ability is poor man’s wealth.

·        Happiness comes to those who gives happiness to others

·        A person’s true character is revealed by what he does when no one is watching.

·        Living without planning is like swimming without knowing.

·        Falling down doesn’t make you fail but staying there does.

·        A quiet mind is richer than a crown.

·        An act is good if it is prompted by a good motive and good will.

·        Great souls have WILL, feeble souls have only WISHES.

·        Calamity/Problem is the perfect glass to truly see ourselves and know ourselves.

·        The man who doesn’t read good books has no advantage over the man wh can’t read them.

·        Your life is what you have made by your own thoughts and actions.

·        The only preparation for tomorrow is the right use of today.

·        It is better to have an open enemy than a doubtful friend.

·        Never choose a friend by outward show, for a feather floats high while a pearl lies low.

·        Don’t e afraid of enemies who attack you, be afraid of friends who flatter you.

·        The spirit within you has limitless power.

·        The greatest secret of life is never to be in the way of others.

·        Hope, labor and success are three friends.

·        There are some defeats more triumphant than victories.

·        Let us never negotiate out of fear. But let us never fear to negotiate.

·        Until you try, you don’t know what you cannot do.

·        Winners don’t do extraordinary things, but they do things extraordinarily.

·        Some:

o       Some read to think- These are rare.

o       Some read to write- These are common

o       Some read to talk- These are majority

·        Rank doesn’t confer privilege or give power; it imposes responsibility.

·        It is always darkest before the day dawns

·        God creates man, circumstances mould him, and conscience sustains him.

·        Work keeps us from three evils:

o       Boredom

o       Vice

o       Need

·        Dream dreams because a dream leads to thought and thought leads to action.

·        A soft voice is heard long after the shout.

·        Dog Vs Cat and Men Vs Women

o       A dog/man thinks: Hey these people I live with feed me, love me, and provide me with a nice house, they must be god!

o       A cat/woman thinks: Hey these people I live with feed me, love me, and provide me with a nice house, I must be a god!

·        Any natural drive when repressed would express itself in its deviant form.

·        When the cat is out of the bag, its mewing can be louder than the roar of a lion in denial.

·        A fallen lighthouse is more dangerous than the reef.

·        I don’t want to find someone I can live with
I want to find someone I can’t live without.

·        I cried because I had no shoes, till I saw a man who had no feet.

·        It takes a minute to like someone, and hour to love someone, but to forget someone takes a life time.

·        When health is absent, wisdom can’t reveal it, art can’t manifest, strength can’t fight, wealth becomes useless and intelligence can’t be applied.

·        Why do men chase women they have no intention of marrying? For the same reason dogs chase cars they have no intention of driving.

·        What do ceramic tile and women have in common? If you lay them right the first time, you can walk on them for life.

·        Thomas Alva Edison; after he failed 9999 times to perfect the light bulb and hadn’t succeeded, someone asked him,” Are you going to have 10000 failures?” He answered, ‘I didn’t fail. I just discovered another way not to invent the electric bulb”.

·        Whether you believe you can or you believe you can’t, either way you’re right.

·        The fear can become worse than the thing feared.

·        Two ways to do something:

o       Take some time & do it right or hurry the job and never finish.

·        A captain is as good as his team

·        You are only as good as your last innings

·        Murphy’s Law:

o       Tendency of things to go wrong will go wrong.

·        The Law of averages:

o       If something happens often then it will also happen regularly.

·        The Parkinson’s Law:

o       Any piece of work will increase to fill as much time as you have to do in it.

·        Heisenberg’s principle of uncertainty:

o       In the act of suggesting reality, we change the reality we are looking at.


·        When the chips are down, raise the stakes.

·        Reverse Psychology:

Instead of pushing your case to some ridiculous level to top everyone off, you get the best of them by making yourself sound silly.


Ex- 4 guys are chatting. Everyone boasts of their conquests. Some say 25 times, some say 100 times. You get the best of them by saying that you did it only 3 times!
