My ramble
I have been very fortunate at being educated at institutions with a wealth of knowledge worth more than four centuries. I will explain how.
I graduated with a PhD in Computer Science from Duke university. Duke University was established in 1892. It used to be called 'Trinity College' back then though. (Source) None-the-less, it has clearly been in existence for more than a century.
I spent two years at the magnificent campus of Indian Institute of Science, Bangalore. The institution is a result of a meeting between a great visionary and a great philosopher. (Source) It came into existence in 1908. I take utmost pride in being a member of its centenary batch.
Before joining IISc, I did my undergraduate studies at yet another historic institution, College of Engineering, Pune. It is one of the first two engineering institutes established by Britishers back in 1854, at a time they were ruling India.
S.P. College, Pune, where I spent two years of my high school, also celebrated its century in year 2016, thereby completing my four centuries. :-)
