Volunteers needed for Teacher Appreciation Week

posted May 2, 2019, 12:58 PM by Tabitha Weiseth

May 6th-10th is National Teacher Appreciation Week.  Help show your support for our wonderful May Street Teachers!

You can help in several ways:
  • Bring a food donation for a Salad Bar Buffet on Wednesday, May 8th. Please see the sign up sheet for the specific items needed. Please drop off items to the front office by 10am on Wednesday.
  • Bring a food donation for the Teacher Appreciation Luncheon on Friday, May 10. Please see the sign up sheet for the specific items needed.  Please bring items in a nice serving dish to the teacher's lounge (please label for luncheon) sometime in the morning prior to the luncheon which begins at 10:00 a.m.  You can pick up your clean dishes in the break room at the end of the school day.
  • Volunteer to help out with the kids while their teachers enjoy the luncheon. Sign up to meet a specific teacher in their classroom, walk the kids to lunch and then meet the kids at the end of playground time to walk them back to their class.  You don't need to supervise them in the lunch room or on the playground unless you choose to do so.  Time slots vary by class, see sign-up sheet.
  • Volunteer to help at the Appreciation Station located at the main entrance of the school on Tuesday, May 7th from 7:15am-7:45am. You will assist students in writing a special note to their teacher on a pennant banner which will be hung in the hallways for all of the teachers to read.
You can sign up to help HERE.
