Sharks Read!

All May River High School students at all grade levels are required to complete extended reading.  It is the expectation that all students will read and complete the assignment over the summer prior to school starting in August regardless of which semester the student has English.

All CP students at all grade levels:
    1. Read one book from the SC young adult book list and complete the extended reading assignment, which will be counted as a quiz grade. Click the red links below to view the complete list of choices and the printable assignment. Note: A student may, with parental and teacher permissions, choose a different book from our Lexiled collection.
    2. During the first three weeks of the class, complete an additional teacher-determined assessment, which will show understanding of the reading. This will count as a test grade.
***Dates for assessments are estimates and can change per teacher discretion.***
