Juniper Hills June 2015

Post date: Aug 17, 2015 7:11:21 PM

What a great day! The weather was beautiful, the food and drink excellent And the fun and ease of being with fellow classmates - priceless! Thank you, Burt Taylor, for making the arrangements with Juniper Hills Golf Course to host our mini reunion. The course staff was very friendly and made us feel extremely welcome. It was a perfect venue.

There were 18 classmates in attendance - our best turnout yet for a mini. You can see them in the photo below. Also joining us were spouses who are becoming "adopted" classmates. Thanks to Linda Taylor, Maryann Taylor, Ed Troisi, John Lowe, Andy Boyko, Tony Caruso, and Ann Heinonen for your involvement in our class activities.

Bob and Burt Taylor conducted a putting contest that was a big hit. After many rounds in the women's tournament, Judy Martino MacDonald emerged as the winner. Jerry Dee won the men's contest.

Earlier in the day, six golfers played a round. The team of Ed Troisi, Andy Boyko, and Jerry Dee edged out the team of Burt, Bob and Nathaniel (Bob's son) Taylor by one stroke to win that event. The Taylor boys graciously awarded trophies to all the golfers, including the putting contest winners.

On another note of interest, we found out that Bob Taylor and wife Maryann and son Nathaniel are moving to California later this summer. That's a huge life change for people our age. We wish Bob and family all the best as they take on this new venture.

In talking about our 55th year reunion next year, the consensus seemed to be to hold it in September, 2016. We'll try to finalize that soon as possible so you can make plans well enough in advance.

All the best to all of you classmates. Please let us know of any email address changes or moves, or life changes that you or fellow classmates make.

Best regards,

Jerry
