by Walter "Buddy" Reynolds
My memory likes to pick and choose
of what to save and what to lose
And this is where the trouble starts
I tend to miss important parts
Oh, I remember Chippy Roach
And Clarabell the Clown
But, send me for some bread and milk
You gotta write it down
Howdy Doody, Major Mudd
And Buster in a shoe
Superman on Friday night,
That crazy Dr. Who
A pizza from the Pizza House
Some Maydale gingerale
Fried clam plate from Uncle Pete's
to Ericson's we'ed sail
Cash in bottles for a treat
a fudgesicle or two
Spitting off the Main Street bridge
And all the things we used to do
No more fried foods, no more salt
My sugars kinda high
My teeth won't take the corn on cob
but, still I like to try
So come with me and reminisce
together we will fly
Down dusty roads back in our youth
it's easy if you try
Return we must, to present day
I thank you for the chat
I have no clue of who you are
and don't remember where I sat
