                                                                                                                                                           Research:  1998-2012

                                                                     Gregorian and MesoAmerican dates can not be correlated

 The Gregorian calendar calculates the years;   The MesoAmericans record the days.

 The solar year is more exactly measured by the Tropical year of  365.24218967 days.  It creates a 128 year cycle formed by 4 groups:  29, 33, 33 and 33 years;

 The leap days not always happen every 4 years;  at the beginning of each group it happens during the 5th year.

              29                            33                              33                              33                           =   128 years

 (5-4-4-4-4-4-4)     (5-4-4-4-4-4-4-4)     (5-4-4-4-4-4-4-4)    (5-4-4-4-4-4-4-4)

          7                         8                           8                         8                         31 are leap years

  There are 31 extra days in 128 years.

  The Julian calendar added 1 leap day every 4 years, accumulating 32 extra days in 128 years.

The Gregorian calendar adds 1 leap day every  4 years, and ommits 1 day every 100 years except every 400 years :  400, 800, 1200, 1600, 2000, etc.  This formula adds 1 non existent day every 3200 years, starting from the year 400.

The Gregorian calendar  is  rarely synchronized  to the tropical solar cycle;

- Permanently unsinchronized (by 1 day) from year  400 to 3599;       (by 2 days) from 3600 to 6799,  etc., etc. :

(400 years * 365)  +  (100 extra days -3)  =  146097 days;      Tropical cycle: 146096 days for the first period of 400 years.

- Constantly unsynchronized (by 1 day) and resynchronized during every 128 years cycle:

                  Tropical and Gregorian years compared;       128 year cycle.
