Cam is an abstract strategy board game for two players, like Chess, Go, Checkers, and Mancala. (An abstract strategy game involves no chance, hidden information, or random elements.) . Cam is down -sized version of Camelot. Camelot has a long history. It was invented in the 1880s by George S. Parker. Parker created a game that was a tactically complex, but easily learned and quickly played mixture of American Checkers (British Draughts) and Halma (Chinese Checkers). It was originally called Chivalry, and had a slightly bigger board and a few more pieces than Camelot. Parker made a few changes to the game in 1930 and renamed it Camelot. Camelot was very popular for many years, but was eventually discontinued by Parker Brothers in 1968. Cam, released by Parker Brothers in 1949.
