OBITUARY.
HAROLD CULLEN,
The death took place at Maungaturoto on Saturday of Mr Harold Cullen, eldest son of Mr Fred. Cullen, chairman of directors of the Maungaturoto Dairy Company, Ltd. Deceased had never recovered his normal state of health since the termination of the war, in which he took part, and gradually faded away until his death. He was very highly respected indeed and Lis funeral on Monday was one of the largest ever seen at Maungaturoto. He was given a military, funeral the playing of the "Last Post" being the final mark of respect of his comrades. Floral wreaths and letters of commiseration were very numerous, the sympathy of a large number of people being extended to the relatives.

Northern Advocate , 1 May 1924, Page 4

Harold has been included on the World War 1 Monument dedicated to the men of Maungaturoto who served in the war.
