Downloads and Installation Instructions

1. Download and install the latest version of LibreOffice:

http://www.libreoffice.org/download/

2. Download and extract the free Cisco Network Topology Icons into separate folders:

http://www.cisco.com/web/about/ac50/ac47/2.html

NOTE: There is no specific destination required where to extract the topology icons so long as they are accessible from LibreOffice Draw. Extracting the network icons into a system location available to all users is recommended and some prefer keeping the icons within the LibreOffice program folder for galleries. In Windows 7 the contents of the “C:\Program Files (x86) folder is a protected resource requiring elevated privileges to create or modify. Therefore creating the following folders under a Windows 7 environment beforehand is a good idea:

  • C:\Program Files (x86)\LibreOffice 3.4\Basis\share\gallery\network-bw
  • C:\Program Files (x86)\LibreOffice 3.4\Basis\share\gallery\network-pms3015
  • JPG Format is recommended
    • Black & White (B/W)
      • Recommended destination location in Windows 7 (x64) is “C:\Program Files (x86)\LibreOffice 3.4\Basis\share\gallery\network-bw”
    • PMS 3015= Pantone Matching System (standard used in the printing industry)
      • Recommended destination location in Windows 7 (x64) is “C:\Program Files (x86)\LibreOffice 3.4\Basis\share\gallery\network-pms3015”
