Version 3.0 is now available with improved notation, fretboard videos and introduction videos (links to videos in the download package).
Note, the plugin is a 32-bit application that works on most VST hosts, but will not be upgraded to 64-bit since it is being replaced by the fretboard videos.

This package providing everything to get started learning jazz guitar improvisation. And, if you like the melodic jazz guitar style of Matt Otten, you'll find out what his approach is based on, and how you can learn to play like that. The material aims at guitar players who can already play, but want to understand how jazz improvisation works, and how to get into it.
If you're looking for a course in jazz theory, this isn't it; this is to teach you to PLAY; that is why it is called EXERCISES! The amount of theory is just enough to get you playing and understanding principles of jazz improvisation.

** please note: a Windows VSTi host program is needed for the plugin. If you don't have one (like Cubase, Logic, Sonar, Magix, etc), you can download a VSTi host program (Reaper) from www.reaper.fm

And for those who do not want to install any software or don't feel comfortable using audio/midi multitrack software, or MacOS users that cannot use the Windows plugin, the fretboard display is also available in video format, on the DVD version. The download package has links to private online fretboard videos (to keep the download size small).

What it is not:
- a course in theory or jazz chords: there is a bit of necessary theory of course, but it is more practical than theoretical
- full video lessons (for video lessons see Blues Forms and Talking Jazz Guitar in stead): there are introductory videos, however, explaining the purpose of the exercises.
- a beginners guitar course: if you just started playing guitar, this will be a too advanced for you. Start with a basic guitar book, and preferably a good teacher.

How to get it:

You can buy a DVD or a download, the content is the same, except for the fretboard- and introduction videos, that are included on the DVD. The download contains links to the videos in stead. In any case, you have access to everything. If you install and use the fretboard plugin, you don't need the videos; If you use the videos, you don't need the plugin.
